MARC EVANS | director

Marc Evans' first feature, HOUSE OF AMERICA won international acclaim from the likes of Sundance and the Stockholm Film Festival. His second feature, the controversial thriller RESURRECTION MAN quickly followed.

Born and raised in Cardiff, Wales, Marc was educated at Cambridge and Bristol Universities. He wrote and directed his first short film in 1984, JOHNNY BE GOOD, a bilingual drama (Welsh and English) about the arrival of the first jukebox in rural Wales. He's worked in British television making dramas and documentaries, ranging from children's fairy tales Terry Jones's EAST OF THE MOON to the first ever Welsh language science-fiction comedy, in black and white ARTHUR'S DEPARTURE.

Marc has also worked in France and Italy. His documentary on the work of Giuseppe Tornatore, A DREAM DREAMT IN SICILY (UN SOGNO FATTO IN SICILIA) was screened at the 2000 Venice Film Festival.
